Rebecca Ashton

Rebecca Ashton

Manager and Licencee

Rebecca, her husband Scott and their two boys Luke and Hunter and their dog Cedar (an Australian Labradoodle – hypoallergic) have been living in the community over ten years now.  The family has deep ties with the Seymour Heights community and the school.  Rebecca has served on the board for numerous years and has been responsible for many of the very successful events run for the children and families of the school.  She is practically proud of her efforts to bring an extensive hot lunch program to Seymour Heights which focuses on healthy eating options for children.  Her constant liaise with the school has led to many conversations about the lack of quality before and after programs in the neighbourhood that the families could access.  Rebecca is opening Elderberries as a way she can continuously give back to the community.  With her background as a very successful business woman as well as her knowledge of children and community she is a great manager for the centre.

Rebecca is also certified with her Responsible Adult Certification.

My name is Josephine. I grew up on the North Shore and graduated from Windsor Secondary school in the French immersion program. I am the youngest of five girls and was homeschooled from grades K-5. I am currently studying at Capilano University, finishing my degree in Early Childhood Education. I grew up around children and have always been very passionate working with them from a very young age. I enjoy the outdoors – including hiking, playing sports and physical activity. I am looking forward to meeting you all and getting to work with your children.
